Scarecrow competition 2018

By public request we are running this year's  the 3RD scarecrow competition. 

Get your little grey cells working to create a Masterpiece for the  Scarecrow Competition

Categories of all ages.

We encourage  pre-school, students 6 -12,HC students,  Adults, families,school groups and businesses to take up the challenge and let their imagination  and creative skills create some eye-catching entries to showcase our wonderful community

Residents of the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas are invited to participate in the 3rd Scarecrow Competition as part of the 2018 Leura Harvest Festival 

There is no theme, but entrants are encouraged to be creative and construct scarecrows from recycled  / reusable material.

Winners will be announced at the Leura Harvest Fair at 1pm on Sunday 6th May 2018.

All entries have to be delivered to Birches of Leura Nursery commencing 30th April 2017 We are located next to Leura Main Car park.

Leura Harvest Festival 2018

Sunday 6th May (9am–4.30pm)

Now in its fourth year, this community event is dedicated to showcasing the outstanding produce, fine fare and innovative sustainability initiatives taking place across the Blue Mountains region. Aimed at all ages, the Festival features an inspired mix of market stalls set along the the cherry blossoms on Leura Mall. Highlights include delicious local fare, regional wine and beer tastings, a  the popular Pet Chook Show and Scarecrow Competition, the ultimate Chocolate Cake Competition  for all age groups.

If you have an interest in all things FRESH, REGIONAL & SUSTAINABLE, this Festival is for you!
